El Pez Pipa (Potamorrhaphis eigenmanni), normalmente captura con el extremo de su boca pequeñas larvas y organismos vivos en superficie o muy próxima a la misma. En 3 oportunidades lo he observado y registrado con fotos y videos alimentándose con Ora atroapicalis para capturarlos se pone lateral y en la boca pero en proximidades de su mandíbula para atraparlos y tragarlos.
