Tribu de taquinidos con región frontal y facial muy anchos que dan aspecto de ojos compuestos muy separados; área parafacial muchos más amplio que el área interfacial; cerdas ocelares muy fuertes y reclinadas y demás cerdas verticales fuertes. (Animal cells and systems, 14(3), 175-195, (2010))
