Género confirmado por un especialista en el grupo "Diptera". Especie al ser la única citada para Argentina en "Biodiversidad de Artrópodos Argentinos Volume 4, Chapter: Stratiomyidae" (2014).(De todos modos existe otra especie, aún no descrita, encontrada en Catamarca y Jujuy).
