Encuentro fortuito con este mágnífico ejemplar cuando realizábamos registros auditivos de rapaces nocturnas en una área del semiárido larense, lo interesante del hallazgo de esta especie es que es un género monotípico, que solo es "supuestamente" endémico de la Península de Paraguaná, al norte de Venezuela, lo sorprendente es lo siguiente, como es posible que este arácnido se encuentre en esta zona a casi 210 km de su zona de orígen. nuestro guía dice que son comunes y de hábitos nocturnos
