Había juveniles en crecimiento y adultos reproductivos, viven adheridos al sustrato. En este caso eran pocos comparados con el invasor Balanus glandula, y a veces creciendo sobre ellos. Se diferencian por forma pero en particular por el color "púrpura" de las líneas y el interior.
