Los juveniles tienen todas las coberteras con bordes blancos, bien visibles, lo que da una apariencia escamada en esa parte del cuerpo, nada de color en el subcaudal,y estrías oscuras en el mismo, es lo que los diferencia de ñas hembras adultas.-
