Avispa parasítica de 2 cm de tamaño, relativamente habitual en áreas urbanas. Cada antena presenta un escapo alargado y flagelo de tipo ligeramente clavado, las cuales tienen 13 segmentos. Los ojos son de color turquesa. El aparato bucal es opistognata (las piezas bucales están dirigidas hacia atrás). Las alas son membranosas. Presenta un largo peciolo abdominal.
Es una avispa parasitoide. La hembra deposita un único huevo dentro de la ooteca de una cucaracha , estableciendo un control biológic
