Por mas que la foto sea chota y que los jilgueros se encontraban en plena postura, este registro muestra que los huevos de este Jilguero son completamente blancos (se lo ve medio crema porque esta recien puesto). De esta forma, se presenta otro argumento para respaldar su separacion del Jilguero Olivaceo, quien se sabe que pone huevos pintados.
