Resumen: Se reporta por primera vez la presencia de la falsa viuda Steatoda nobilis en Ecuador y Colombia, siendo los primeros registros fuera de Chile en Sudamérica. Los ejemplares provienen de las localidades de Puembo y Quito en Ecuador y Bogotá en Colombia. Se discute la significancia de los registros y se entregan ilustraciones
