ESPECIE INVASORA y VENENOSA, originaria de Nueva Zelanda y SE de Australia. En 2009 fue registrada por primera vez en Argentina, en Mar del Plata. También fue reportada para los golfos San Matías (Río Negro y Chubut), San José y Nuevo (Chubut). En la foto se observa un ejemplar con vida, posicionado al revés (con el pie hacia arriba). Identificada por Verena Diana Bökenhans (Lic. en Ciencias Biológicas de la Universidad Nacional de la Patagonia, San Juan Bosco y Becaria Doctoral del CONICET).
