Esta especie en general solo llega a España para época de cría, después del verano emigra a Africa. Pero algunos ejemplares desde hace un tiempo, se están quedando en el sur de España a pasar el invierno, y no llegan a pasar el estrecho de Gibraltar. Se supone efecto del cambio climático.
