Fácilmente reconocible. Se encuentra tanto en ciudades como en parques naturales. Aparece en primavera, se reproduce y queda hasta el verano. Muy audible. Presenta dimorfismo sexual, siendo la hembra parda y ligeramente de menor tamaño.
