La faz dorsal de la hembra de Epiphile orea se parece a la faz dorsal de la Opsiphanes invirae amplificatus pero se diferencian por que la franja naranja en las alas posteriores en Epiphile orea se corta enseguida sin dejar un borde negro (Como está en la foto) en cambio en la Opsiphanes invirae la franja naranja recorre todo el margen del ala posterior dejando un borde negro que no se ve en este caso.
