Primeras imágenes de este anfibio en la provincia de San Juan, se reproduce luego de las torrenciales lluvias de verano, en pozones y depresiones con agua, luego cuando llega la sequía se esconden en cuevas o bajo en suelo seco de las depresiones antes inundadas.
