Inicialmente identificado como Buteo Ventalis por Jorge La Grotteria, se cuestiono que las fotos pudiesen dar una ID 100% positiva, por lo que bajamos las fotos, posteriormente fue identificado como ejemplar adulto del mismo, por el Sr Tomas Rivas, Director del Centro de Aves Rapaces Ñankulafkén de la Reserva Natural El Natri, Bio Bio, Chile, quien mantuvo contacto conmigo, y por el Sr Mariano Gelain guia y avistador de Bariloche, quien mantuvo contacto con Sergio.
