Publication Guidelines in EcoRegistros Communications

At EcoRegistros Communications, we are pleased to receive and share content related to nature, including nature news, travel chronicles, taxonomic updates, and other topics of ecological interest. We accept submissions of up to 10,000 words and a maximum of 10 photographs per article. Additionally, all articles will be published in three languages: Spanish, English, and Portuguese. The author can submit their article in one of these languages or all three. If submitted in only one language, and to expedite the publication process, revisions will not be sent to language specialists but will use online tools for translations. In this case, the author is responsible for reviewing and giving the final OK for publication. Furthermore, if the editorial team believes the article does not meet the requirements of our platform, it may be rejected or changes will be requested before starting the editorial process.

The editorial team of EcoRegistros Communications consists of:

  • Jorge La Grotteria - Editor
  • María Alejandra Sosa - Reviewer
  • Lucas Peluffo - Reviewer
  • Francisco Lucero - Reviewer
  • Walter Liriel Gómez Umpierrez - Reviewer
  • Daniela Espinosa - Reviewer
  • Santiago Juan Torres - Reviewer
  • Mariano Costa - Reviewer

To ensure that all articles meet our quality standards, we have established the following guidelines and procedures for publication:

1. Submission of Publications

Submissions are exclusively received through our online content management system. Authors must register and upload their articles in digital format (.docx, .pdf, .txt), ensuring that the content is generated by the author and not copied from other sources or created using artificial intelligence.

2. Assignment to Reviewers

Once the submission is received, EcoRegistros Communications will assign the article to one or more expert reviewers in the topic of the publication. The review process aims to ensure the quality of the content, the veracity of the information, and compliance with editorial standards.

3. General Review and Formatting

During the review, articles will be evaluated for their structure, clarity, coherence, and scientific accuracy. Reviewers will also be able to suggest formatting changes, such as highlighting key ideas, changing photographs, and rewording paragraphs to improve content understanding. The author will be notified of the recommended changes for review and correction before final approval.

4. Final Publication Editing

Once the article has passed the review and the suggested changes have been incorporated, the editorial team will proceed with final editing. This phase includes style corrections, improving the visual presentation of the content, and preparing it for publication on the main EcoRegistros page and in the EcoRegistros Communications module.

5. Galley Proof

Before the final publication, the author will be sent access to a galley proof to give their approval and confirm the publication of the work.

6. Publication and Dissemination

Once the publication is ready, it will be uploaded to the main EcoRegistros page and disseminated in the EcoRegistros Communications module. The author will receive an email notification confirming the publication of their article. Additionally, the publication will be promoted through our social media to ensure its visibility and reach.

If you have any questions or inquiries about the publication process, please feel free to contact us through our support system or via the official email: ecoregistros@ecoregistros.org.
