Description: A medium-sized spider with dark brown coloration, the cephalic area is black.

Sexual Dimorphism: Males tend to have a lighter coloration than females, with longer legs and a less swollen abdomen.

Environment: It inhabits tree hollows, under bark, beneath fallen logs, and rocks resting on the ground in forested environments. It is also found in city gardens, where it is often an abundant species.

Geographical Distribution: Common in the province of Buenos Aires. This species was introduced to the southern United States.

Behavior: It is sedentary, constructing an irregular web beneath objects resting on the ground or in tree cavities. During the breeding season, males wander at night in search of females.

Diet: They feed on arthropods that get trapped in their web.
