Description: Brown back speckled with whitish, with lighter underparts. Black throat with a whitish band. White malar stripe. Short tail. Light-colored legs and bill.

Geographic Distribution within Argentina: Misiones and northeast of Corrientes.

Habitat: Understory of forests.

Behavior: Terrestrial, moves by hopping. Crepuscular.

Diet: Arthropods and invertebrates.
