Synonyms: Scolopax magellanicus.


Taxonomic notes:

-10/12/2022: HBW and BirdLife Taxonomic Checklist v7 started to consider the Patagonian Snipe (Gallinago magellanica) as a full species, so we no longer consider it an "EcoRegistros Exception," and both sources now follow the same criterion.
