De todos modos es la única especie de este género distribuída en el sur de sudamérica de acuerdo con "SOUTH AMERICAN AND FLORIDIAN DISJUNCTS IN THE SONORAN GENUS COMPSOCRYPTUS (HYMENOPTERA: ICHNEUMONIDAE)".
