Identificada por el especialista en Tettigoniidae Holger Braun. Es muy probable que sea la especie Hyperophora angustipennis, que fue descrita de Córdoba en 1891. Ese ejemplar lamentablemente se perdió, y la breve descripión original es insuficiente, además de que los pocos registros subsiguientes vienen sin descripciones o imágenes.
