Description: Crown and back are lead-colored, with black wings and a white wing band, black tail, rump, and ventral canela, with a white throat and chest. The female is olive green dorsally, contrasted with a lighter ventral area, indistinguishable from most females of other Sporophila species.Morph: See White-collared Capuchino (Sporophila ´zelichi´).Geographical Distribution in Argentina: Misiones, Formosa, Chaco, Corrientes, Entre Ríos, and northeast Buenos Aires.Habitat: Marsh vegetation.Diet: Seeds.Behavior: Territorial.
