Description: Light gray crown and back, black wings with a white wing band, black tail, darker brown ventral side with a brown throat and rump. The female is olive green dorsally, contrasting with the lighter ventral side, indistinguishable from most females of other Sporophila species.Geographic Distribution within Argentina: Formosa, Chaco, Corrientes, Santa Fé, Entre Ríos, and Buenos Aires.Habitat: Grasslands.Feeding: Seeds.Behavior: Territorial.
