Not considered species

The genus Sicarius was revised in 2017 and underwent several changes. For example, Sicarius terrosus is no longer a valid name, as it became synonymous with other species. The species found in Argentina are Sicarius leviiSicarius mapuche, and Sicarius rupestris, all three overlapping in their distribution and cannot be distinguished by photography. I believe the most appropriate approach would be to classify all of them as Sicarius sp. Regarding their supposed danger, it has never been proven, as there are no records of accidents. There are studies on the venom of African species, where it was found to be almost as potent as that of Loxosceles, however, in 2017, African species were reclassified into a separate genus (Hexophthalma), so it is not necessarily the case that American species of Sicarius would have a similar venom. Until further study is conducted, it is not accurate to consider them dangerous, but it should be kept in mind as a possibility.
